H.E. Ambassador Lin Songtian met with Mr.PG Masualle, Premier of Eastern Cape Province

On 19 September, H.E. Ambassador Lin Songtian met with Mr. PG Masualle, Premier of Eastern Cape, to exchange views on further deepening friendly and mutually beneficial cooperation between China and South Africa.

H.E. Ambassador Lin said that China-South Africa relations are in the best historical moment. China and South Africa should deepen mutually beneficial cooperation to achieve common development and better benefit people of the two countries. It is his first local visit as Chinese Ambassador to South Africa, and the purpose of visit is to identify priority areas for mutually beneficial cooperation, and to find ways to achieve early harvest as soon as possible.

H.E. Ambassador Lin said that China-South Africa cooperation has huge potential. Eastern Cape Province, and its Coega Industrial Development Zone and East London Industrial Development Zone have both soft and hard conditions for investment cooperation. The Chinese side is willing to support more Chinese enterprises to invest in Eastern Cape Province, and to play an exemplary role in mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Africa.

Premier Masualle expressed his warm welcome and sincere gratitude to H.E. Ambassador Lin for his trip to Eastern Cape Province for investment cooperation. He said Eastern Cape Province is willing to provide better investment environment and convenience for Chinese enterprises, and also welcome more Chinese tourists to visit South Africa and Eastern Cape Province.

On 18 September, H.E. Ambassador Lin also met with Mr. Athol Trollip, Executive Mayor of Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality, to exchange views on the investment and operation of Chinese enterprises in Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality and the mutually beneficial cooperation between China and South Africa.
