H.E. Ambassador Lin Songtian Meets with Leaders of National Assembly of South Africa

On November 8, H.E. Ambassador Lin Songtian met with leaders of National Assembly, and talked about China-South Africa relations, legislature exchange and cooperation between China and South Africa, as well as other issues of common interest of the two sides.

Ambassador Lin introduced important achievements and significance of the 19th National Congress of the CPC, and expressed ideas on how to promote friendly and mutually beneficial cooperation between China and South Africa. Ambassador Lin said that next year will mark the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and South Africa. China is willing to work with South Africa to comprehensively implement the important consensus reached by the heads of the two countries, solidly push forward the cooperation in ten priority areas including infrastructure, human resources, manufacturing and processing industry, agriculture, tourism, marine economy, finance, security, people-to-people exchange and international cooperation, and make China-South Africa relations stronger, more productive and more beneficial to our two peoples.

Ambassador Lin said that legislature exchange and cooperation between the two countries played an irreplaceable and important role in promoting the development of China-South Africa relation. China looks forward to further deepening legislature exchange and cooperation with South Africa so as to constantly enrich the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and South Africa.

The South African side welcomed Ambassador Lin, congratulated on success of the 19th National Congress of the CPC, and expressed commitment to promoting China-South Africa cooperation.
