H.E. Ambassador Tian Xuejun Pays A Farewell Call on the Secretary-General of the SACP and Minister of Higher Education and Training

On March 13, H.E. Ambassador Tian Xuejun paid a farewell call on the Honorable Blade Nzimande, Secretary-General of the South Africa Communist Party (SACP) and Minister of Higher Education and Training. Mr. Solly Mapaila, Second Deputy General Secretary, and Mr. Reneva Fourie, Member of the Central Committee and Secretariat Coordinator of SACP also joined the meeting.

Ambassador Tian reviewed the development of the relations between China and South Africa as well as the ties between the two Parties, and spoke highly of the contribution made by SACP and Secretary-General Nzimande to the ties between the two Parties and countries. Ambassador Tian said that with the concerted efforts of both sides, the relations between the two Parties and countries will continue to achieve high-level development.

Secretary-General Nzimande spoke highly of the strategic cooperation across the board between South Africa and China over the recent years. He appreciated and acknowledged the efforts made by Ambassador Tian for promoting the friendly ties between the two Parties and countries. Secretary-General Nzimande stressed that the SACP values its friendship with China and stands ready to join hands with the Chinese side to further promote the relations between the two Parties and countries.

Ambassador Tian and Secretary-General Nzimande also exchanged views on deepening China-South Africa people-to-people exchange and higher education cooperation.
